Faith Baptist Church

FBC of Sarasota is a well-established, Independent Baptist, Christ-Centered church located in sunny Sarasota, FL. 

Our History:

Our church was founded over fifty years ago by Pastor Marc Blackwell, in 1969 (who continues to serve as one of the supported missionaries). In all of these years, our church has only held a total of 3 Senior Pastors. The second being John McCall and our current Senior Pastor Dave Anderson, who's shepherded the FBC flock since 1999. The original church building was located on Bee Ridge Rd. 

The Present:

Our current location on Fruitville Rd, was constructed in 2005. This beautiful 22-acre campus has a large open sanctuary, many classrooms, a playground for the children with green space and a warm welcoming interior design. During the week, our facility is used by The Classical Academy school.

Our Next Steps of Faith, we joyfully remember the past while looking forward to the future. Please be praying with us that God would bless the following areas, so that we can better honor and serve Him. 

• Adding more opportunities for in-depth biblical studies such as theology, attributes and more.
• That our church body would grow in Christ-likeness. 
• Reaching out to families in Sarasota, Lakewood Ranch and the surrounding Suncoast areas.
• Growing our many ministries, in-home and at our facility.
• Giving a high priority to the development of evangelism and discipleship opportunities.
